Regina Symphony Orchestra Cancels Concerts and Activities through the end of May, 2020
REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN – The Regina Symphony Orchestra is cancelling its performances through May 2020, out of concern for the health and safety of artists and patrons. In doing so, the Orchestra joins many organizations who have made the same decision, including our sister orchestras in Canada and the world.
All ticket purchases for the season will be honored in terms of patron wishes, with an option to donate the value of the ticket for a full tax receipt.
At this point, it is difficult to say whether or not any performances might be rescheduled, and the current and continually evolving situation is one that the organization is continually monitoring.
This decision allows the Orchestra to ensure its future, which at this point, indicates a resumption of normal activities for the 2020/2021 season announced yesterday. The objective of the RSO at this time is to continue to nurture its artists while also providing the service to the community the Orchestra is honored to provide, and this decision is vital to that important commitment.
This decision is based on all of the recommendations from a variety of Federal and Provincial health authorities, as well as local directives, and we hope that all of the citizens of Regina beyond our artists and patrons remain safe, whole and well through this difficult period.
Ticket holders are invited to contact the RSO Box Office at (306) 586-9555, firstname.lastname@example.org, or click here to complete the online ticket exchange form.
