Join the RSO on a sensational, multi-media whirlwind of a dance tour. We start with the overheated ballrooms of Europe as portrayed in Ravel’s La valse, reflecting the scandal of the waltz in the early 19th century, and end with the final composition of Rachmaninoff’s, composed after he fled to America following the Russian Revolution. In between, you will be transported by Eliot Britton’s Adizokan, a potent mix of dance, video, electro-acoustic and orchestra featuring Red Sky Productions, and Nelson Tagoona, who will astonish with his unique combination of Inuit throat singing and beat-boxing.
