The Regina Symphony Orchestra

The Regina Symphony Orchestra is a full scale, professional orchestra of (depending on repertoire) 50 to 60 musicians (or more), lead by the dynamic and personable Music Director/Conductor, Victor Sawa.  During a 39 week season, the RSO musicians, who are all members of the American Federation of Musicians, rehearse and perform for: 1 Pre-season outdoor concert event, 8 to 9 Classic concerts, 4 Pops concerts, 1 Baroque concert, 1 Children's concert, and 2-3 Special concerts including 1 Holiday special.

Many musicians pursue a variety of other professions while maintaining their hectic orchestral schedule. Outside of the contributions that they make to the cultural fabric of southern Saskatchewan through their performances with the RSO; the musicians live and raise their families in Regina and area. Often there are whole families, including moms, dads, and kids, all performing together with the orchestra.
